**DJ Jann** is a DJ and producer from São Paulo, Brazil, whose connection with music began in the mid-1980s, when radio programs featuring DJs and mixing first sparked his interest in record culture and electronic music.
At a time when radio was one of the main sources of musical discovery, Jann began researching the scene in depth, constantly searching for new sounds in record stores. His musical education was also shaped by his father's rock collection, while programs on **Band FM** and local parties expanded his exposure to DJ culture and the emerging electronic music scene.
Among his early experiences was a weekly appearance on **Ritmo da Noite**, broadcast by **Rádio Jovem Pan Santos**, where he performed every Thursday. He also took part in events such as a party featuring **DJ Marky**, held at the former **Lab Club** on Augusta Street in São Paulo.
His artistic identity is deeply rooted in **Drum and Bass and Jungle** — styles defined by broken beats, powerful basslines and relentless energy. For DJ Jann, the essence of a DJ set lies in the art of mixing and in the ability to transmit positive energy through music.
As a producer, he develops the **BASSHUNTERZ** project alongside **Update**, with releases through labels including **Grid Recordings, DubShotta, 4Jungle (BR)** and **Promo Audio**. He also collaborates with **DJ Rusty** on projects connected to Promo Audio.
Since 2011, Jann has hosted **Jann Sessions**, his weekly Sunday broadcast on Twitch dedicated to Drum and Bass. The project now also becomes part of the new phase of **FuseWebRadio**.
His influences include names such as **DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Hum, DJ Patife, Carl Cox and DJ Marky**, while the music of the 1980s and 1990s continues to play an important role in his musical research and creative process.
