TRANSLATE, the artistic name of Cleber Alberto de Oliveira, born in São Paulo, Brazil, is a DJ and music producer with a solid background in electronic music. Since his teenage years, he has shown a deep passion for many different musical styles, frequently attending iconic clubs during the 80s and 90s, which became the foundation of his musical identity.
His first contact with electronic music came in 1992. After exploring several genres and underground movements, including Hardcore and Jungle, he found his true artistic identity and lifestyle within Drum & Bass.
TRANSLATE began his professional DJ career in 1994, sharing line-ups with some of the biggest names in the electronic music scene, becoming one of the pioneers of Drum & Bass in Brazil.
In 2000, under the Diffusion Project alias, alongside Fernando Rafih and DJ Waltrack, he released his first production, *“O Namorado da Viúva”*, a reinterpretation of the Brazilian classic by Jorge Ben. The track gained recognition and support from major DJs in Brazil and worldwide.
As a music producer, TRANSLATE has released music on several internationally respected labels, including: Good Looking Records, V Recordings (Liquid V / Chronic), Hospital Records, Shogun Audio, Innerground Records, SoulTrad Records, Weapon of Choice Records, Soul Deep Recordings, All Street Records, Promo Audio Records, Luv Disaster Records and Soulbass Records.
In addition to his career as a DJ and producer, TRANSLATE was also the host of the Music Is My Life radio show, broadcast through the E-Music Station portal in 2018, where he showcased his own productions, exclusive releases and several Drum & Bass styles, further strengthening his connection with the underground electronic music scene.
In 2026, TRANSLATE returns as the host of Music Is My Life, now through FuseWebRadio, bringing a new phase of the show focused on the latest releases, timeless classics and current trends from the global Drum & Bass scene.
TRANSLATE is also part of the K7CREW project, a fusion of Drum and Bass, Brazilian culture and underground-driven performances. The project was created through the collaboration between TRANSLATE and Tom, combining unique flows, powerful beats and strong Brazilian musical influences within a modern and energetic concept.
Through live performances and immersive sessions, K7CREW has been gaining recognition within the underground scene, connecting different audiences through the energy of the dancefloor and Drum & Bass culture.
